Novoplan has been appointed to the Local Buy ICT Solutions and Services panel.
The appointment will allow local government, utilities and State Government units to more easily procure the Novoplan infrastructure charges software.
Novoplan has so far been adopted by the Townsville City Council and EDQ to track millions of dollars in infrastructure charges.
The software, developed by PIE Solutions, significantly reduces the processing time for infrastructure charges whilst also providing essential data on development activity. This allows local government and utilities to be more responsive to infrastructure needs.
The software will also help local governments and utilities meet the State Government’s election commitment to improve efficiency and transparency in the delivery of local government infrastructure planning and processes.
Novoplan contract manager Jason Miller said the appointment to the Local Buy ICT Solutions and Services Panel would make it easier for Queensland local government clients to engage Novoplan.
Local Buy is owned by the Local Government Association of Queensland, and reduces the risk, time and costs associated with the procurement of goods and services by local government.
Novoplan’s introduction at Townsville City Council has already been applauded by the city’s mayor and its planning chairman. It has delivered significant efficiencies to Council and delivered a return on investment in its first three months of operation.
