City of Townsville

Townsville City Council is a large regional local government located in North Queensland. They appointed Novoplan in June 2018 and have the distinction of being the first local government in the country to seize the benefits of Novoplan.

Novoplan provided Council with an integrated infrastructure charging and agreement management system that delivered significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.

The pioneers

After an exhaustive search undertaking over many years, Townsville City Council proudly became Novoplan’s first customer in June 2018.

4x annual ROI

Novoplan has removed the errors that were costing Townsville City Council approximately 5% of its annual infrastructure charges revenue, delivering an annual ROI of over 400%.

2.5+ hour reduction in administrative time

Novoplan replaced Townsville City Council’s disjointed spreadsheets, legacy business systems and cumbersome approval processes with a single, modern solution to manage infrastructure charges and agreements. As a result, complex applications which were taking close to 3 hours to process are now processed in less than 10 minutes.
